Avocado oil is extracted from the avocado fruit which is gown on a tree with scientific name Persea Americana. The tree is a native of Mexico and it is a tree classified as a member of the flowering plant family Lauraceae. Studies show evidence that avocado was present in Peru as long as 8000 to 15000 years ago. Avocado which is also called alligator pear is mentioned to the trees fruit which is a large berry containing a single large seed. Avocado needs a climate without frost and with little wind. High winds reduce the humidity, dehydrate the flowers and affect pollination. Avocado tree need well aerated soils more than 1m deep and it is available in southern and eastern Spain, Portugal, Morocco, South Africa and many other countries.
