Cypress is one of the oldest herbs used globally. Cypress originates to Nepal and Tibet and still you can find the common and extensive use of cypress in these cultures. The US natives also used to use cypress (other variety) in for medical treatments and ceremonial burns.  

One of the famous legends with cypress is that the cross is made up of cypress. According to the Greek myths, cypress tree is valued for purifying incense and medicinal uses.

Cypress: Medical Uses and Actions

Benzoin, bergamot, cardamom, cedarwood, chamomile roman, clary sage, eucalyptus (all), frankincense, geranium, juniper, labdanum, lavender, lemon, lime, mandarin, marjoram, orange, pine, ravensara, rosemary, sandalwood, and tea tree  are some of the major blending component with Cypress.

Cypress is a non toxic, non irritant and non-sensitizing. Pregnant women should avoid cypress oil.
